Hi everybody,

I've been looking around for coupe for the last few weeks. The one I really wanted just sold \:\( , but I saw
this one on autotrader. It's the ink black one with 81,000 miles for £3,595 at countrycarsales.

Has anybody viewed this car? Any comments? I'm over in London for the weekend and I might travel up to see it.

Thanks!

I know it's a trade sale, but £3,600 seems a little steep for a R plate 20VT with 80K on the clock. I reckon you'd pick up a similar car for under 3K on here from a known forumer where you can check it's history. I think Carlt would probably sell this for about £2,800.
Maybe worth a look, but I'd hold out \:\)

Thanks pinin

I've decided it's not worth viewing. Think I'll wait for another car. I'm not in a big rush to buy. I'm still trying to sell my car.

I don't want to spend much more than £5k, or should I say up to £4k on a well sorted 20VT or push £5k ish for a well sorted LE.

I'll still have the extra cost of shipping it home and paying import duty (about £830 for a 99 plate or £740 for a 98 plate). So no matter what I buy in the UK, I can add about £1,000 on to the final price!

I'd look for a 5K LE if you can afford it, you'd only wish you did otherwise \:D you can get a nice LE for 5K if you look at a few and don't rush \:\)

Viewing is difficult. I'm in Ireland. It involves flying over, looking, realising it's a shed, flying home again! I've clocked up a couple of return flights already. God knows what my carbon footprint is like.

I'm hoping carlt will put an ad in the "For sale" section for a Vinci Grey or Black LE soon and just out of the blue. All my prayers will have been answered! \:D

That Coupe isn't far from me so if you change your mind I would be happy to go and have a look for you. Although I agree with Pinin about the price given they aren't Coupe specialists.

Say FSH tho, and Cambelt... so if it's been maintained it could be worth that. Remember it's a trader, so £3600 is going to be the starting price.

Having said that, it's not going to be a bargain, just the right sort of price
