MITCAR Sunday 26th August 2018

As Midlands rep for the club I have another event to let you know about.

We have been invited to MITCAR 2018, also known as the Midlands Italian Car Day at Arbury Hall near Nuneaton - CV10 7PX, on Sunday 26 August.

It is a great venue and advance tickets are £9 or just £10 per car on the day to get in. Advance tickets available via www.mitcar.co.uk

(Tours of the beautiful Gothic Revival style mansion will be available at a small extra cost on the day.)

Hundreds of varied Italian cars expected as ever at this event now in its 18th year, and at an 18th different venue, hosted by AROC East Midlands Section.

This will be a great late-summer event again, bang in the middle of the country. One to look forward to, and everyone welcome.

That looks like 10 interested then- am off to the Silverstone Classic this weekend and then a 3 week road trip to Italy in Doris so will talk to the organisers and then wake this thread up on my return

Just talking with the organisers about this event and the space we will require as a club to park together. Have those interested confirmed/bought tickets for the event?

Fantastic road trip thanks G_Man, but feeling rather lucky. We drove along the motorway where the petrol tanker exploded last week, through the village where the mudslide took out the bridge in the Swiss Alps a few days before, and were stuck in a traffic jam on the bridge that has just collapsed in Genoa.

Weather's looking shocking and a 4hr round trip on the M6 doesn't appeal. Unless there's a last minute change I may have to wimp out

Having looked at the weather forecast I might well pass on this event. Will give it a final check tomorrow morning.

Real bummer as it's the only wet day that's forecast for the next 10 days or so according to the BBC

Bad news- Weather check says raining from now up until 7pm. I am going to give this one a miss in view of that

Don't blame you. Absolutely chucking it down here and I feel a tad sorry for the campers at Creamfields - getting cars out the fields tomorrow will be a nightmare Could make a few bob though using the coop as tow vehicle so every cloud has a silver lining
