On the back of the good South meet we had a month or so ago I've been asked to assist with organising the main FCCUK summer meet in the South East of England this year. Although I didn't make it to this event last year, by all accounts it was a very good one So, to make a start I'm going to suggest 3 approximate locations and a date. If a few more suggestions arise, we can make a poll and then choose a winner LOCATIONS South East is a pretty all encompassing term so choosing locations is quite tricky. It has to be accessible from London so somewhere around the M25 circumference would probably be best. I am fairly confident that there would be a good turnout from the Oxford direction and from the M3 corridor so I've proposed a couple of locations slightly to the west of centre and one further east. Somewhere near Egham Somewhere near Leatherhead Somewhere near The Grasshopper Inn (same location as in 2007)DATE How about the 19th or 20th July, that gives us 2 months to organise it. Opinions please

I can't really think of many places in the first two locations that would be any good at accomodating alot of us. The grasshopper was good last year, has a huge car park, we even shared it with a Lexus meet and they had no problems with accomadating all of us. Also, if you use the Grasshopper again, Suba will know where it is and be able to get there on time this year!

Grasshopper was good, the roast was tasty as well. Sadly though, 19/20 July is out for me.

I'd go for the Grasshopper.
16VT and X1/9 1500
We must all do our part for the planet. I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using. I even unplugged my own.

Well done for “volunteering” Webbo! Unfortunately I can’t make the 19th or 20th as I will be in sunny Spain. Look forward to the photos though

Ok the Grasshopper Inn is looking like a strong favourite but I'm going to throw in another option further west: http://www.multimap.com/maps/?hloc=GB|SL...203QA|SL6%203QAAs you can see it has a massive carpark and I hear the food is good too. The 20th seems difficult for a few people so what about the 27th July?

27th is good for me. Personally I reckon the Grasshopper will get the biggest potential turnout given the proximity to London and Essex.

I'll be bobbing about in my pool in Le Marche on the 27th, so no good for me.
Saying that, its not as if I've been a regular attendee so don't let me sway you, but I did fancy it this year.

Can i just say that some of the suggestions dont really seem like South east he he he, i live right at the lowest part of the south east, town next to dover, unfortunately sometimes too far away, theres a few coupe owners down this way aswell. Could there be one a little closer next time (like my front door )

Danirv, unfortunately the main SE meet really has to be near to London for maximum turnout but I know what you mean. I'm not even sure if I will turn up if it is at the Grasshopper. Of course it doesn't mean you can't have a meet closer to Dover though Thanks for the poll JimO it should help

I live right at the lowest part of the south east, town next to dover. Could there be one a little closer next time (like my front door ) There is nothing to stop you hosting your own LOCAL meet Just find a venue, or even a driving route, and post it in this section for interest. "If you build it they will come" Bob

Is that the Shire Horse? If so yes it has a big car Park and Good food BUT the car park is full everytime I pass. Which shows it is poular but maybe a little too poular to get a space
