Tatton Park - 2/3rd June

Tatton Park - 2/3rd June - 28/05/2007 12:50

For those northern types that live in the north-west there's a Classics show at Tatton Park near Mere in Cheshire.

Alfa man Stan from the AROC has tickets and, although it's not on the scale of Bristol/Brooklands, there'll be plenty of italian machinery there plus the usual Fezzers, Mazzers, Lambos, Astons, Bentleys, big yanks etc.

See you there!

This is quite close to me so it'd be rude not to. \:\)

My brother went to the show & said he'd seen a few Coupes there on display. He was most impressed with the yellow refurbed one that the chap had on display with the two tone leather recaros - are they on here?

That would be mine Mona. Thank him please for his comments. I'll be posting shots of the Fiat section soon.
The seats are RaCtive sports seats, bought on eBay and not fitted, or seen, for months, following my move from Carlisle to Liverpool. When fitted by All Italians' garage at Wrexham it was obvious that a better colour match could not have been imagined! Pure dumb luck .....
Again, although they have the common wear points covered in, what I guess is vinyl, the rest is a strong woven-type material.
As in all things: you get what you pay for. In this case £350 delivered with the same amount for mods to fit the coop.

I suspected that when I saw the picture at the start of the thread. He said there were lots of standard models there, but yours stood out due to the recent paintwork & mods. He was particularly impressed with the seats, so they must be alright for the money you paid! I've also used All Italia in Wrexham a lot for my car - they know my coupe intimately! They have done a good job with mine, including a seat removal to trace a rear washer leak under the carpet!!

Let me know when you get the photos up of the Tatton show as I would love to see which Coupes were there - I nearly went, but I was in Caernarfon that day - which co-incidentally was staging the last leg of the Three Castles classic rally!

I'll pass on your thanks to my brother when I speak to him next.

Nice venue, good crack and well hot!
Saturday was hell with the heat but great due to the company of the two Taffs and their buddy, the MABRs and no wasps this year!

High spots were the arrival of the Pearl White plus, the Iso Grifo and the appearance of Mrs.MABR who, it transpired, was an ex psychiatric nurse. Which explains a lot. (Only joking Craig!)

You can see it in my first two piccies. Doesn't look like that in the metal - really weird and not what I was expecting it to look like.

Having seen the pics from you guys I DEEPLY regret not going to the show with my brother!! He also said it was v v hot - and had the facial sunburn to prove it!

Was the car a white one then? I would think it was LHD?? \:\?

NIce selection of cars there - Ferraris/Iso/Alfa etc. - I'll try and get there next year. \:\)

Re: Tatton Park - 2/3rd June - 08/06/2007 12:22

Was deffo a RHD Pearl White Plus. \:#

From previous comments on this forum, this seems to be the Golden Unicorn of coops - even Yellow Plus's come 2nd. However IMHO it wasn't what I was expecting - kept glancing at it throughout the day and concluded that I wouldn't swap. No disrespect to the owner but it wasn't to my taste and that's what it's all about. \:\)

Still glad the owner brought it though and I finally got to see one. \:D

Yeah it was,Its AndyB's car IIRC although he wasnt driving it on the day.To be honest the colour isnt as nice as i thought it would be,it seemed to hide the slashes down the side of the Coop.I suppose its one of those colours that the light has to hit on a certain angle, its also a pain in the backside to take pictures of
