Dentman at the SE Summer meet

For the July 1st Meet here I will go and talk to the dent man that we have used a few times, Sainsburys and Epsom Downs, to see if he is available to turn up.

But can I see a show of hands of who may want his services first, just to give him an idea on numbers off.

Say on this post and rough scope of work, don't clog up the actual meet post.

Err.. Will he do motorway barges as well as Coupes? The old boys XJ has a number of dinks i'd like taken out.

He did my ex-Punto and Hanny's Audi plus some ugly Jap sportscar thingies so yes, not only coops

I'd be up for this, but any idea on the price that he will charge? I'm sure it will be good, just want to make sure that I have the cash .

Something like £30 a panel IIRC and there can be a lot of dents on a coupe door

Phil - If it's the same guy, his rates are very reasonable. I think I paid about £20 a panel and that's with around 5-10 dents per panel!

Edit: Although i did have 4 panels done.

I've a couple that need doing again! pretty please, still need a paint man too! Mr C

MrC - I am not sure a paintman would be able to help you out at a meet, but I have made an enquiry to see if someone could come along and have a look at any required paint repairs and provide quotes

The dentman has a paint man mate - let me know if you'd like his details - I have no experience of his work however

I have spoken with him about a paintman, trouble with paint at a meet is he needs power and no wind, which in a pub car park, there is lots of one and not much of the other. You will probably be best sourcing this yourself MrC. I think the dentman does know someone though, so he may be able to give you contact details

I'll keep an eye on the other thread for times of the meet but I ain't going to be able to get down til afternoonish (1pm), so if it's a morning job then best rule me out.

I have asked Elder81 if his mate Barney can come along and do some assessments and quotes..he is busy but fingers crossed

Barney's work is fantastic, I would recommend him over any one else

What's wrong with it?

well was brakes,exhuast,manifold (starting to blow)and DV,
how ever new pads and disc for the front went on yesterday ebc much improvement.
Have the exhaust (blue flame) but they made a mistake and sent me a decat (rang them up told them its fitted and smoking so they sending me a free 200 cell sports cat) will get tomorrow (friday) so thats sorted.
which just leaves DV , manifold.

few very small dents in door and few stone chips on bonnet plus want zender bumper and le skirts painted when purchased

You'll be sorted - still 6 weeks or more away! Some people have cracked manifolds for years

Oh and A,C to fix ,boost gauge to fit, gtec1 & prv to fit
but these will be done when got the time

I am going to call the dentman this week and would like as up to date numbers as possible

I'm in - lots of those annoying little tiny dents on the door pannels. If he can get them out then yes please!

Yes i have plenty of tiny dents in the doors, but it'll be (as usual for me) whether or not i have the cash.
