South East Meet 10th Dec. Brands Hatch to Hop farm - 11/10/2006 02:07

On behalf of Jayzee, Joel and myself

The idea we came up with was meet up around Brands Hatch somewhere, Then a nice drive down over the M20 under the M26 then turn into Seven Mile Lane,(this is a nice country lane with a couple of good straights. A R/B at the halfway with a fun two lanes uphill off it. Then a long straight then a good D/C with R/B in the middle, so far, I have managed 70+ on the exit . Not that I encourage such driving
then onto the Hopfarm. Which has a Pub. Or there is the Blue Bell thats opposite it, sits along side the D/C. So we can stop for a chat, drink,food, and a bit of Cruising up and down the D/C

The thing is, when? We have the Blue water meet on the 11th November. Are there many fellow fccuker's that can handle 2 meets before Xmas or do we leave it until after the New year?

i dont think 2 meets will be a problem, this meet is more for people who like the drive as well as the meet, the bluewater meet is more for chatting & shopping.
there are some great roads around the hopfarm & i'm dying to give adders 70mph roundabout a go

I might well meet you at the pub but it depends. I'm in Hastings the night before on a massive pi§§ up, as it is my 25th b-day then. Depedning on hangover etc. i'll try and meet you guys at the pub.

The 10th Doesn't clash with anything else does it

May change the route, may now go via the new West Malling Bypass (junction 4) M20. Lovely new bit to D/C opened up

Mind you. I have my operation booked for the 1st Dec . told me I won't be able to drive for 2 weeks . Guess I'll just have to overrule the doc for this day

Course not Joel, make the run even more interesting.

I did a dummy run on Sunday afternoon. Looks like best place to meet will be the front of 'Formula One' car performance shop. It's about 300yds past Brands Hatch entrance, opposite the Texaco garage. Then head off down the A20 onto M26/M20 til next junction approx 2 miles. (only concern is if it's busy on a Sunday Morning, as a few road works at the mo).

Then follow signs to Paddock wood / hop farm on A228. The lovely new D/C bypass. Right on Cappo's Doorstep.

BTW stop at lights half way along and had an M3(55 reg) pull up along side. So we both went for it ) but the time we were at 100 his boot was just past my bonnet I was happy with that.

The Blue Bell pub opposite the hop farm has a good size car park right alongside the D/C

I know nearly caught me out the other day. Thought it was an Audi, from a distance, giving it a bit of stick. Thought I'd close the gap a bit . Then spotted it was a mondeo with a small extra mirror on the passenger side wing mirror and passenger rearview as well cheeky sods

aarrgghh. You want a lie in .

If we say bewteen 10.30 and 11am at the formula one place. Then start the drive down to the Blue Bell just after 11. Will only take us about 20 mins to get there.

Then spend 1-2 hours at the pub.

Does that suit everyone?
