Thank you Dave (Submariner) for initiating the annual Horsham Piazza response! I had in any case planned on posting this today since we have some 8 weeks before the great day!

I have taken over the reins from Pondman and attended the organisation meeting back in November with the Council and other car and bike club members so can confirm the proposed arrangements for the coming event.

The key points are:
• Our day will be Monday 17th. April
• We will probably be marshalled from the Hop Oast Park’n’Ride (as previous years) but this may change and we will be informed.
• Sussex Police now will NOT provide motorbikes (without a very large donation to their funds!) so we have a motorcycle club to provide the honors and they are very keen to do a good job.
• Given the requirements of the Council, Police and Fire Brigade, the organisers will be putting displays in various positions around the town rather than everything located in the centre- our location will be in the Bishopric around the Globe statue. We will share this with other Fiats and Abarths so numbers for us will be strictly limited to 12!
• The organisers are hoping that the participating car clubs may be able to bring some form of sponsorship in the future. An indication of increasing squeeze on Council funds for what is a key event for the town; which ironically is there to increase footfall into the town over Easter and hence revenue!

Just under three weeks to go! There are still 2 spaces available if others would like to join!

This exciting event is now an established meeting for Italian cars and bikes and attracts a large audience for our cars.

We have just received the drivers information pack which I would like to send to all the members who have signed up. I need to put together a contact list with your car colour and registration plate number, emergency mobile no., first and last name and email address. Whilst I have quite a lot of information to hand about most of you I certainly don't have all of that! Please could you PM your information as soon as possible (at least by 3/4/17)
If you can also add an email address which I can send the drivers pack to you'll be able to read about the arrangements for meeting and print out your car credentials etc.

All drivers on the list have been 'accepted' by the organisers and the information pack sent out to them.

There is one last chance if you would like to join us- if you respond by Friday 7th. April we can definitely add two more, possibly a few more than that, assuming that the other Fiat clubs don't return full lists. Just sign up quickly.

We will meet up at the Hop Oast Park and Ride by 10:00 for an escorted parade ride into town and at the end of the afternoon have an escort drive out of the town past the other exhibits and the adoring crowds!! We will be the first to leave so will have maximum attention and impact!

Good weather has been ordered so it will be great!!

Chris you mention information pack is this due to be sent out soon or have I missed it?

I'm changing my clutch, not rushing anything, so I may not be ready for monday - depends on how quickly I run through...

Nice timing.

Looking forward to this. Been watching the weather slowly get worse but it looks like a 50% chance of rain around mid morning and then that significantly diminishes as the day goes on. Fingers crossed.

I have received confirmation from the organisers that 'their' weather forecast indicates fair weather- whatever they think that means?! I agree with Submariner that it has got worse the nearer to the actual day but it should be dry.

I shall be at the Hop Oast Park and Ride by 9:30, please make sure you are there by 10:00 at the latest.

Hopefully Rudi's clutch will be sorted and you make it. Poor old Nismo has to be at work on Monday so he won't be coming but will be missed.

We are due to be in the Bishopric then.

I took my coupe to our local Morrisons to fill it up yesterday and do some food shopping.

I noticed when I got home that some scrote had tried to remove the 16V pillar badge while it was parked and snapped off the 1.

Fortunately I do have a spare number 1 to replace it, so that's something else to do this weekend.

Ok, cool will come again on Monday. The posters have a goat display today, so thought you guys might be here.

I've been going to this event for many years and had been looking forward to seeing the usual suspects + others this year. But alas, I HAVE to work tomorrow, Monday
I'm on a commercial site and during shutdown is the only time I'm allowed to operate. So sorry guys, I'll be missing you all this year. Have a great time, I'm sure you will. Take some pics and post for all to see. Being my home town event, I'm gutted.
Parking duty will have to be another's responsibility this year

Glad the weather was OK, better than rain as it has on many Bank Holiday Mondays.

Thanks for arranging Chris. It was good to catch up with people and have a chat; the cars looked good. Lower footfall this year for the Coupe's as we were tucked a bit out of the way. The main square was very busy.

Absolute pleasure to organise and good to meet people, especially those who have not met previously. The weather was better than I expected (but clearly not the organisers!)Yes, the location was not 'with the big boys' but could provide us with an opportunity to organise something special in future years so that people would actually want to walk down the other end of town to see us!

I will see some at Brooklands and then at Brands Hatch.
