Ok so i`ll leave roundabout 6:30 then and meet up with you at your place then pick up Kelv and Ronnie.

Is there anybody else from the Glasgow region going?

If you guys are in convoy with Ross you shouldn't have any problem getting there as he's been out that way before to Che's place, or make use of SatNav.

I'll be there a bit earlier than 10 but I could hang back and wait for you lot if required.

Here's the address chaps, for your sat nav or normal maps - Ross it's basically as if you're heading towards Che's:-

Wallace Performance
Unit 17+18
Murcar Commercial Park
Bridge of Don
Aberdeen
AB23 8JW

I was just wondering what was going to be the easiest way of doing this. Are you going to be travelling solo Kelv? as it may be easier if you were to pick up Ronnie and we`ll all meet up on route somewhere to save Ross and I an extra 35 miles with doubling back on our journey (although that`ll no matter to him in his super frugal Sei \:D ).

Either that or I could head up the M77 and meet up with Kelv, pick up Ronnie and then meet up with Ross on route.

Any thoughts on which way would be best?

It doesn't bother me either way. Regardless we need to get onto the m80. So how about cumbernauld services? The shell station? Im sure you guys will have run outta fuel by then anyways \:D

Since you lot will be picking the sparky guy up then maybe I could meet up with you guys at Tesco Silverburn? I have a mate coming along as well in his audi TT and he lives in Barrhead..so silverburn would be an ideal spot.

What say you guys?

Sounds good to me. Although i've just realised something.

Supposedly a mate of mine wants to come aswell, so i suppose i could meet you guys at silverburn as well, as he stays out that way as well.

Ok since everyone is meeting at Silverburn, should we say 8am there? or 8.30?

Re: FCCUK Rolling Road Day - Convoy from South - 03/07/2008 16:21

8am is too late. There is no chance of getting to the deen in 2 hours.

I done it in 1h 45 before but it was pretty fast going.

It’ll take a bit over 2 hours from your place Kelv. Assuming there aren’t any major roadworks which there weren’t last time I did the journey – some stuff going through Dundee but it wasn’t causing any congestion. Plus you’ve to get through Aberdeen to get to Wallace Performance. And remember it’s speed camera central between Dundee and Aberdeen. ;\)

So I’d say to give at least 2.5 hours.

I think thats probably about right to be honest.

As said on the other thread, I've done that route quite a few times so we should be able to knock that down to 2 hours if you coupe boys can keep up. \:D

It`s a pity Sparky`s not taking him Coop \:\( ,he could have done his usual party trick and valiantly storm into the lead to draw the speed cameras away from us \:P \:D .

Lol \:D

Yeah he does pick his moments \:D

I think there is around 14 speed cameras from Glasgow to Aberdeen, so there isn't a lot that can be done to beat the clock, as such.

I done it in 1h 45mins in my coupe, but never again and i was hammering it.

I reckon just over 2 hrs from kelv's will be comfortable.

Re: FCCUK Rolling Road Day - Convoy from South - 05/07/2008 07:13

Yeah its on the m80.

From kelv's you'll be going M77 - M8 kingston bridge - M80 Stirling - then once you pass all the signs for cumbernauld, its on the m80 on the left hand side just after a slip road.
