My first car was a 1.0L. Slow as hell, but went round corners like an NHS bed. And about as comfortable.
Fond memories of contracting MRSA.

This local dealer group here in Brisbane (Australia) is offering these new 2013 MGs with a 2016 Compliance Plate.

Probably the ones from that Hoegh car carrier that run aground in Southampton a couple of years ago, as the lower hold had RHD MG' s orginally destined for Thailand.

My first car was an Austin Metro in denim blue/silver/rust, amongst many other quirks it had such bad transmission whine that the horn was completely pointless.

Mine was a white 1.3L with nasty brown interior.
Makes me shudder just remembering it...

I had a lot of fun with Rover Metros in the mid-nineties.
My Dad and my Stepmum both worked at BAe when they owned Rover and both qualified for company cars. Since they only needed one between them, the second was given to me as soon as I passed my driving test. I got a brand-new Metro every three months. Pretty good deal for a 17/18 year old!
The 1.4 engined variants were great fun …

Looks identical to my first car. Mine was slightly more abused though*
