However, what I said is probably worth repeating to anyone else who may be interested....
Regarding the cost...
To be totally honest I don't know the value of the car if in working order, or the estimated cost of repair, so it's hard to judge.
Let's just say I'm open to offers, and I'm not looking to make big bucks from this, it's more about the Coupe going to some use.
id say your cars worth 3k or there abouts if its in great nick and all papers and docs service etc are in order...
You may well get daft offers of sub 1k - personally i wouldnt part with it for that...get it diagnosed and take it from there - get in contact with Joe (Country cruising on the forum) he is Captain fix em up...
then balance it up - cost versus value...

Thanks for the comments cjh, and thanks for er, the jokes from the rest of you.
I'd have a very rough guess and say that in great condition the car would be worth £2K.
The cost of repair depends enormously on who's doing it, but could be in the region of £1K +/- a few hundred.
Now I'm not setting myself up for being ripped off, but my priority for getting rid of the car is to get it off my drive, and to see it go to a good home, my wife was happy to scrap it, I said no.
So I am open to offers, please anyone come and take a look.
Warren, thanks again for your offer to look at the car and advise on selling it, sorry you were unable to come at the weekend, due to major trauma in my personal life.

If it is the car I've seen and you're looking for a vis I would recommend putting this one back on the road.

Forum member Wal_S has now agreed to buy the Coupe from me. I'm happy to see it go to a good home, and hopefully I'll see it around town once he has it going again. Cheers everyone.
