Insurance want to know the value of my coop.....

.....before it was damaged in a recent side-on collision during the snowy weather.
It will probably be a write off (dent and scrape damage to driver's side rear quarter panel just after the door, the door itself, the panel in front of the door and front alloy damage and wingmirror gone).
They wanted to know what the value is? any rough ideas what I should tell them (spec below) :-

- 99 reg 5 spd Sprint Blue 20vt, 87k miles.
- I'm the 5th owner.
- Leather and Aircon.
- Radio, tape, Multi CD changer in boot.
- Manifold, AC radiator, wishbones, front disk and pads and refurbed alloys, all in the last 2 years.
- Cambelt changed in summer 2005.
- Probaly still on original clutch, turbo, oil cooler.

Can you remember what you told them it was worth when you took out the policy? I would say give them that figure

Pull similar specs of here/Pistonheads/Autotrader and send them copies of every receipt of every part purchase and piece of work on the car and send them the stamped service book assuming you have one

Oh, and flatly refuse their first offer asap and do NOT cash any cheque they send!
