Red key

Is it the end of the world if you buy a coupe without the red key?

When would you need the red key?

Put it this way, I have never needed it I'm over 13 years of ownership.

It gets used if you need to programme a new key into the immobiliser for instance, but these days keycutters can simply clone a new key without it.

Ok great. Just don't loose your keys, which I have never done so all will be fine.

As PeteP says, you can even get a spare key cut form your normal key, I got mine for 40 quid from Timpsons! They clone the original key, so it still works with the immobiliser.

Pity they couldn't fix my watch a couple of years back...

I bought a car without the red key also...

Yeah, I think they only got the technology fairly recently, but this was in Sept last yr
