Hi all,
Well we have looked at 2 coupé's so far (Or I should say 3 members and my son have looked at 2 coupé's so far) To no avail. 1 had lots of problems, the other one had very low oil pressure.
There is a car at Solo Italia that he is interested in. It is a bit our of his budget, but looks like a nice car. So probably going to put a deposit on it today.
However if anyone is near Solo, or can give any advice it would be appreciated.
Thanks again to all those who have helped and given advice. It has been greatly appreciated by us both.
Cheers
Bill

Is it the red one at £2300?
It is expensive, but then you get a warranty etc, Solo are on here too, and I haven't heard of many problems withcars they have sold!
You can certainly get more car for your money if you go prvate, but you do lose the warranty and 'safeness' of buying from Solo!

I bought mine from Solo in November, had a full service, cam belt and oil cooler pipes changed. Gave me 6 months warranty 12 months MOT.
As said you will pay a bit more but for the peace of mind i thought it was worth it.My car is in very good condition and am more than happy with it.(except needing a thermostat but not much expense and a very common problem).

The red 20VT at Solo Italia does look pretty good value at £2400 especially with new Cambelt, a service, new MOT and 6 months Parts and Labour Warranty.
However at that age and mileage I'd be thinking about Clutch, oil cooler pipes and Turbo.
As they know the car, it may be worth asking Solo to check the History to see if any of those have been done in the past. Good point, did chat with Rick today and he assures me it's a proper car. Will double check on the turbo, pipes, clutch though.
