What with my career change, a few things in my life which has given me a different perspective on the Coupe and keeping her. I've mentioned on here a couple of times she'll be up for sale very soon.

But I've genuinely no idea how much to ask for her. The Coupe being one of those cars that's worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.

She was fully resprayed just a year and a half ago. Bodywork is therefore immaculate bar the two or three stonechips on the bumper, and (only recently) a stone chip on the roof, where it meets the window.

FSH, with Powerfiat/PowerItalia

Standard Stuff
--------------
Colour: 9002 Black (Straight Black)
Mileage: 56k
Exterior: As above
Interior: Immaculate (the low mileage helps here)

Modifications:
--------------
Re-sprayed from Moon Grey to 9002 Black year and half ago
Coupeteile Rear LED lights
De-seamed Rear light cups
De-locked rear boot
De-badged rear
Modified fuel filler cap, (replaced with an aero style cap, smooth and deseamed)
Eibach Springs
Dare V5 18" rims
CSC mild/stainless exhaust

Oil pressure always 3 bar when travelling. Drops to just under 3 bar when idle, drops to 2 bar if hot weather.

No mechanical issues at present:-

Cambelt replaced less than 7k miles ago
New manifold a year ago
New oil cooler & pipes about a year and half ago
New Handbrake cable a year ago (holds on the steepest of hills now)
Serviced regularly with PowerFiat/PowerItalia

Can't think of much else - so any advice on price or interest please let me know.

Theresa - thanks for the comments. To be honest, I'm only getting rid because the new job is so encompassing, and I just don't have the time to keep her in the condition she's in. Still, I've no idea what to ask for her. A grand, two, three? Not sure...

Bigtop - idea Sell your blue, and buy my Black one! smile

It comes down to how quick you want to sell, with that point, mileage, service and history this car really should be one of the more expensive ones commanding a premium. But then when you do that, you have the problem that you're up against the cheaper ones, so you have to justify why, and most people will always go for the cheapest ones first.

So all in all in terms of a price, £3k, £4k, I don't know laugh

Thanks of the info JimO - sound advice.

Although... I'll be lucky to get anywhere near £4k...?

Am I after a quick sale? Not particularly, but the longer I keep her the less I'll have time to keep her in the condition she's in.

What's peoples views on the better places to advertise cars on online? Pistonheads? Autotrader? Ebay?!

Always difficult to rate modded cars as you've made the car to your taste which may not be to someone elses. Especially visual changes as usually people are attracted to the Coupe by its standard appearance initially. Not saying it doesn't look nice just who might be attracted to buy.
I've got the wifes Stilo on ebay/AT and Pistonheads at the mo - whenever I've tried to sell a car its always been luck - someone looking for a nice modded Coupe just as you Ad it.........I've advertised cars in the past with not one response - waited a month then they're fighting over it - right place/time etc.
Best of luck anyway

I'm no expert by any means, but I don't think I'd be surprised to see it on Pistonheads at £4k, particularly based on the low mileage, recent cambelt, and recent respray.

If you weren't really expecting that much, you could comment that you're looking for a quick sale, and are open to any sensible offers. That might encourage people to go for it quickly, somewhere between £3k and £4k.

I just paid £2250 for a similar mileage standard one, with quite a few stone chips, and needing a cambelt, which I thought was a bargain, so I'd certainly not expect to get yours for under £3k.

Personally, if you still have it, I'd put the old centre console back in, but each to their own smile Perhaps you could take a picture with or without, and offer people the option?

Ian.

Thanks for the advice/comments chaps;

Nello - Understood. You're right about modified cars, they're usually either loved or loathed. So I'll be expecting tumbleweed and a whistling wind, or my mobile ringing constantly, when she's put up for sale.

CoupeNewbie - I think you're right. And I'll start around the £4k mark. There's no rush really, so I can wait and see. Unfortunately/fortunately the wooden style centre console was there when I bought I first bought her. It *could* be removed, as it's only glued on. But, I've become quite accustomed to it, and grown to quite like it.

Magicsy - As above, there's no major rush on this, so I can certainly wait until the right buyer and price comes along.

I'll update as and when any news happens.

good luck with this circolo, i loved what you did to the car depsite being very sceptical when you first mentioned your plans. i particularly think the fuel cap project was a great success.

as for price, i'd be thinking no less than £3500. I know for instance that lucifer is selling his 315bh w reg plus for £4k so cant see it being worth that much myself but hey, who knows?

good luck anyway wink

Thanks proccy - but things have changed course on this now, and I've after much deliberation decided to keep her for a while longer. This post explains my reasoning on this.
