bought an evo 5 intercooler and gettin the wire mod put in soon so hope should sort out problem

Scal, those won't fix the fueling problem although the are good modifications nonetheless.

I`m sure he will be fitting a walbro 255 soon too Leighton,he runs it on optimax and with the above mods were thinking of trying a gtec2 to see if it helps???

I would start by looking at injectors, MAF sensor, throttle cable, TPS as these have a more direct relationship to the fueling. The fact that the fueling does get richer as the rpm/load increase suggests the fuel pump is more than capable of pressurising the fuel rail.
