What's happening with the Christmas dos, was there a decision whether there would be a national FCCUK one or separate regional ones?

Sadly I don't have a free weekend between now and Xmas, but would be happy to organise something in the New Year.

I believe there will be a national club one somewhere central UK during late January/February, with smaller regional ones being organised locally earlier on.

I think the vote went for separate meetings/meals iirc.

I'm asking becasue I'm down in Kent in between Xmas and the New year weekend and wondered if members fancied a meet/meal?

Most of us should be off work on holiday.

We could either just have a coupe meeting in Central London somewhere, look good that would or a meal in one of the home counties somewhere, Grass hopper again maybe?

Nothing wrong with you setting one up CC, I am sure a few people would be interested. (I am away then so its not that i am avioding you by the way )

Could you set up a poll for meal or meet then please JimO, I'll take my cue from members input. Should be able to sort a venue for a meal that week, the worst is over by Boxing day

So with that come on people what would you like to do.

Some suggested places for a meet would be good, Grasshopper in Westerham for either a meet, meal or both. Other nice places for a meet and photo shoot would be the top car park at Greenwich Observatory.

Sadly I'm in Seville between Xmas and NY, but I think its a great idea.

I thought of Greenwich becasue it'll make a nice back drop for pictures, any other picturesque spots, this is open for any ideas?

Cool, can do 28 / 29 / 30th - personally prefer the Surrey side How about the Flight Tavern near Gatwick...or The Rubbing House up on Epsom Downs...Grasshopper is good as it's close to the motorway and has a big carpark

Yes I had one of those dates in mind Vic, as for location, we've already done the Grasshopper which was good but it doesn't offer much for a back drop other then the pub itself.

I haven't been to the Flight tavern and Epson is a little far for me.

Maybe we could have another pole, so far we've got:

OMG I used to drink at the Fox and Hounds in my youth, it was a crazy place back then (suspect the old dear who ran it is now long dead ) I don't remember it having much of a car park?

I would say that if Epsom is too far for you, then Gatwick ditto?

Small world Vic, I also used to drink there back in the late 80's, I was one of the biker lot who visited on Saturday nights or Sunday lunch time when the sun was out, many a happy hour spent messing about on the common

As for the car park, there's one on the side or we could line out out front, if that all fails there's plenty of space across the road down by the common. I'll be at my folks from the 27th so could do the 28/29th no problem.

OK, It's looking like the Grasshopper is most popular, for either the 28th or 29th ... I would guess the Sunday would be preferred although neck and neck with the Monday, so time for another poll. Are all those who were up for this, still up for this? I never called the pub but there are only a fairly small number of people coming

I've just rung the Grasshopper, carvery starts at midday and there shouldn't be a problem with tables as they don't reserve seats on a Sunday.
