Well after a strange weekend, see my upcoming post in technical problems about my spacers, I've finally got round to mapping my Coupé. I'll up load the graphs later as my home PC is a bit pants.

I've gone with the Unichip Q + as I believe, other than stand alone management (or Leightons way ;\) ), this offers the best cost effective way of getting the most out of our cars.

I've recently gone with Bosch green 440cc injectors and despite the Motronics best efforts to pull fuel out I was very close to misfiring midrange, 8.9 AFR. \:D So I wired in the Unichip and after a couple of sessions I've got close to how I want her. It takes a while to get it right, and you could spend *days* trying to get it perfect but all in all I'm chuffed with the results. My torque is slightly lower than I'd like, but that's because I'm still running 10.5 AFR midrange tailing off to 11.4 AFR at the redline - so nice and safe.

1 bar all the way

Wheels - 261.6 bhp
Flywheel - 309.7 bhp
Torque - 252.2 lb/ft

1.6 bar midrange, 1.2 bar redline

Wheels - 301.8 bhp
Flywheel - 341.7 bhp
Torque - 312.2 lb/ft

OK, a fair bit of boost midrange but I've got the fuelling and the turbo is capable of it but I found anything more that 1.2 bar at the redline and she lost power. The most pleasing part is I've got 200 lb/ft @ 3k and then 300 lb/ft @ 4k nearly all the way through to 6k, peaking at 5k. So as you can imagine she's quite fun to drive now. Off boost driving is *so* much more responsive, now I've got her around the 14.7 AFR mark.

Chuffed. And the best part is my 440's are about 80% duty, over-fuelling, so with more tweaking I'm sure I can get more power for slightly less midrange boost.

Yes Ross it is . That's what i have too and funnily enough i have exactly the same problems as Matty. Russ said Gerry was on holiday but when he gets back i think Dastek will need to come up with something for us.

Mind you Matty i'm only getting 1.3 bar midrange and between 1.0 and 1.2 bar redline. Still getting 398bhp and 320lbs ft though. Midrange cleaned up and i will get a lot more drive out of the corners. more torque mind you but only one more event to go this year where it matters.

Marco without a doubt your car will produce a lot more once Russ irons out the niggles. It took me a long time to get my head around some of the Motronics 'ways' before I could start getting anywhere and the Q+ has loads more potential ie launch control, switchable maps with phone etc etc.

It's quite exciting.

Tell me about it as long as Russ doesn'y phone me when i'm on a hot lap!

I reckon with a better afr mid range i would be a good second a lap quicker in general. That would allow me to drive at 120% instead of 150% just now.

I wish Russ had an incar video as Oulton would have been great to watch from someone elses car. Russ said it was a sight to behold.

Probably needing to get a DANGER Madman at the wheel sticker made up.
