im thinking of buying a Coupe 20vt but was just wondering wat u thought about buying 20vt's for £1000 (and under?) is it worth it or should i just get a bit more ££££££ together? also wat are things to look out for when buying one? i own a Punto GT at the min and know of a few people who sold the GT's for Coupe's and said they had loads of problems with them and they wasn't very reliable!?

If you buy one for £1000 it is likely to be unreliable and have lots of issues.
Most well sorted ones will sell for at least 2-3 times that.
Even then you are likely to have a few niggles, as even the newest cars are nearly 8 years old.

You may get a tatty but mechanically sound 16VT for £1000 though, and there not much wrong with them if you get a good one.

I would say 9 times out of 10, a £1000 coupe will cost you at least that again in the first year and probably more if it's a high miler in need of belts etc...up to you, but you'll likely need to have deep pockets or be very handy with a spanner \:\)
