Erm, but you couldn't see the handbrake in a photo?

As I said, normal UL for the non-turbo and a higher octane for the turbos seems to be the norm. As to which super, it makes little difference, although some owners report that their cars prefer one type over another but this varies from car to car.

If you find one, you'll need to see which the car runs best on or ask the current owner. An long-term enthusiast forum owner selling on here should be able to tell you \:\)

If I were in your shoes with a small purchase budget, I'd go for a non turbo as they cost far less to maintain usually. Mechanically, the 20vt seems to behave very differently to the 16v n/a \:\) The biggest tip is actually to see and drive cars before driving, this is why I wouldn't buy a car from eBay if unable to check it out first

I know, i know lol. I think i need to go to the opticians, though to be fair, the photo is blurry and it is hard to make out as you would naturally assume that the handbrake would be on as the car is still. Anyways, thanks for all your help, hopefully by next week i will be the proud owner of a coop 20v na! I will post some pics of it up on here when i get it! Cheers, bye for now, tom

The photo could have been taken when it was icy, hence the handbrake off. Check the handbrake cables eh!! \:D

New2Coops, you've been given some sterling advice more than once and it's fallen on deaf ears. The best thing to do is buy an enthusiast owned car, whether that's forum or not, and use the buyers guide from here too. They are a 10 year old, 220bhp, Italian sports car. They are not going to be immaculate unless you want to spend £5k+. If you can't recognise a handbrake lever and are looking to spend less than £2k you may well not spot less apparent problems than "missing" cabin furniture.

No your memory serves you well \:\)

Dr Fenwick did sell 197 at some point last year before 20k miles fell off it.

I bought mine from a garage in Leicester, but I assume the 'dodgy' dealer bought it from ebay not sure what the ebay name was. Got a file full of stuff that got sent to the Trading Standards...will have a look later.
