I would be interested in a Euro tour. I took a big Euro trip this summer and would love to visit Turin again

I am already looking to attend SPA Italia 2008, as is Petep, and John (fastjjs) is thinking of hosting a bit of a Coupé doo in Holland arround that time too ;\)

It would be nice to go to Holland before doing SPA and then heading south France / Italy and if possible meet up with some of the French and Italian Coupe club members too.

I will start a New Thread in the Euro events area to cater for a possible Euro trip

UK one first for me.

Depending how the UK one turns out I may be interested in a Euro trip the year after.

I'd prefer a small euro trip but a couple of days around the UK would be good too.

Don't mean to sound unnecessarily negative, but I'd say that unless things have changed drastically, the chances of a Euro trip actually happening are very slim. I've been here long enough to remember several different Euro trip suggestions/plans and none have ever happened, because on the day where you start writing down how much it will cost, everyone suddenly has something else crop up which means that they can't make it now. That was the key reason I suggested a UK trip to start with. I'd love a trip down to the South of France then up through the Alps, etc, but do some sums and see who's still up for it then.

I think one of the good aspects of a UK trip might be that people can dip in and out for shorter periods if they want to, e.g. join for a couple of days. This would help if costs were an issue, and also if leave from work is tight.

I like that idea Cappo, almost have it like a series of mini-meets where the main contingent tour around going to the different coupé hotspots (Durham excluded for obvious reasons \:P ) \:\)

Nice idea!

Good suggestion Cappo. I think we'll need a good 15-20 bods throughout to make the hotels etc cheaper, if we get more in certain places then thats a bonus.

I totally agree with Cappo. Euro roadtrips have been discussed every year for the past 5 years or so and it never happened. It would be great if it would happen at some point, but I seriously doubt it.

As for the UK road trip. I could be interested in this as well! I've done several trips to the UK in the past years and have always loved it. I'll definately keep an eye on this \:\)

I have an idea...

Clubcento a while ago done a south england to north scotland run. People joined along the way, and then on the way back down dropped off. Maybe something similar could be arranged?

Dont forget route planning is going to be a major nightmare and if this goes forward it may well be worth putting 2-3 people in charge of it.

Avoiding Motorways and major towns would be the biggest challenge.

And roads littered with speed cameras \:\)

Cappo had the same sort of idea a few posts above Ross, so could be a winner.

Definately need a few people doing route planning. We can call on the knowledge of those around the UK to suggest places, then take a look at how we can achieve it!
