Interest appears to be high for a Supercar meet, people interested so far are;

Cyclone - Cerb 4.5 (410bhp)
Joe - Skyline (400+bhp)
Dr Frag - 20VT (350bhp)
Rog - 20VT (330bhp)
Flea - 20VT (360bhp)
Jamiepm - 20VT (3??bhp)
Dan20VT - Evo IV (300bhp)
Roly - 20VT
Suba - 20VT (300BHP+)
MCMike - 20VT
EvoCarl - Evo III (400bhp)
Chrissy - Pug 205 (179bhp)
AlpineGTA - 20VT
KrispE - 20VT (270bhp)
ChrisS - GTi-r (430bhp)
h2ypr - 20VT
D52 - 20VT (Special Guest)

Anyone else is welcome, just let me know.

Venue needs to be decided, but Nottingham is pretty much Central and if agreed I'll arrange a meeting point and somewhere to eat etc.

Dates wise, provisionally I am now looking at Sunday 2nd April , this will allow a few owners to get their cars sorted, Sunday 26th was another possible but as it's Mothers Day then I don't think it'd be worth risking .

Jules.

I'll sound out my mate with the Pulsar that you ran into Cyclone - although I think he's on about selling it.

Will keep an eye on the thread and if he's still got it we could well be up for this .

anytime is good with me!

The outcome is a bit predictable though!!!

Cyclones cerb will be leaving everyone if its a dry day.

It will be between the rice boxes if its wet.

Either way the coupes have lost

If it's march then I'm up for it in the coop - I should be running a shade over 300bhp by then... I guess I'll be at the back getting lost.

In the wet you would have to be a brave man to push the cerb so I think the coupés should tuck in behind the ricers. In the dry the cerb should be king although if I finish my tweaks I reckon it will be a close run thing when rolling and the ricers will be sucking on my big fat pipe

hmmm not sure car built and run in on time for late march

so put me down as a 50/50.

Will be there for the reply as I am sure there will be some great excuses to why people under performed on this one and will want a rematch

Make it mid late March, as I would have finished the final set of modifications by then

We will have to get a load of latex covered babes along a al Fast and the Furious and some police jammers

Time to polish those intake pipes!!!

Yep, Flea, I'd like to see how your machine performs

From a standstill I wouldn't even bother trying but from about 20mph I'd have a crack IRC, Dan's 330bhp coop was getting pretty close to Cyclone's cerb so I reckon with around 30-50bhp more things will be pretty tight

Flea,
When Dan ran against CYCLONEs Cerb the Cerb was Std ( @ 360 IIRC), now he is 400+ and I'd doubt you'd get close in a straight line drag now. But like you the fun is trying to see how big a gap there would be.Onto weight the 'official' figues is @ 1100 kgs but in reality they are nearer 1200 kgs. So there will be points where the Cerb doesn't muller you but the thing with the Cerb is the pull is constant from zero to well over the official top speed of a Coupe/Skyline/Evo so it will be a case of who can hang onto the back of him the longest
I'm sure CYCLONE will be along to correct any typos in my stats

Jamie

Aaah, I didn't know that Jamie. When I met you guys at the pod I thought Cyclone had already remapped his ecu. If it's a full on 410bhp then I reckon the RWD losses are probably offest by the 100-150kg weight advantage therefore a coop will need to be be about 400bhp to compete which I won't have... should have bought the cerb I still reckon I'll mince Joe's sky-liner on the straights though

About right, although it weighs about 1260kgs.

I reckon we'll find that there isn't a great deal between most of the cars that are over 300bhp. If I accelerate alongside a Coupe (330bhp+) that is in the right gear and on boost then initially the Coupe will always hold it's own, but thereafter the Cerb pulls ahead. The 1100kg 400bhp Evo 3 will take some catching.

Ok, I have a 700 odd kg stripped out 205 gti, with an S16 179bhp lump with skip brown handling...

My question is - would it be worth attending,??

Is this meant to be a friendly social gathering or a 'who's got the best chest wig' race meeting? By some of the 'my balls are bigger than yours' talk i think I'd be scared of attending this!

This is my first guess for outright straight line

I think there will be two camps

speedCyclone - Cerb 4.5 (410bhp)
EvoCarl - Evo 3 (400bhp)

I think the Coupes will be all very much similar, certainly in my experience, even a high powered coupe versus a lesser powered one , may only gain a few car lengths here and there.
With some of the others experience against skylines, I think Joes Skyline will fall in amongst the Coupes for straight line performance, only provided the Coupes can get their power down

In no particular order:

Dr Frag - 20VT (350bhp)
Rog - 20VT (330bhp)
Flea - 20VT (360bhp)
Jamiepm - 20VT (3??bhp)
Dan20VT - EVO IV (300bhp)
Joe - Skyline (400+bhp)
Roly - 20VT
Suba - 20VT (300BHP+)
MCMike - 20VT

If its raining the 4wd boys will be laughing

I agree with Cyclone, head to head the 350bhp Coupes ,especially runs running upwards of 320lb/ft would be very even, on boost, however, with the rev range of the Coupe and its gearing ,the Coupes will have to change up earlier,... whereas the Cerbera will still be able to keep accelerating in gear, so will pull ahead, expect 100mph a solid pull away from the Cerbera.
The power/weight of a 400bhp EVO will be astonishing, although at Cadwell, I was able to keep on the legs of an FQ-400, and had more torque lower down, but the FQ would be a fair bit heavier, than Evocarls monster at 1400kg, so I'd expect it to be a fair bit quicker in all conditions than my Coupe.

Joe

Joe,

so where would you say I would come with an extra 100bhp, (I may get my hks turbos and other items early )

Or would the coupes still keep up, lol

I think we will know more once I mince rog (not in a gay way!)
