as per the title the time has come to sell the coupe. (doing a DAS and buying a bike instead) so need to know how much to put the coupe up for sale for.

its a 97 p reg in sprint blue.
belts and clutch were done around 70,000 mark (cars now at 95,000)
never seen the oil pressure below 1.75
runs nice and smooth
had oil cooler pipes replaced a couple of years ago
new thermostat
new front flexi brake lines
miltek exhaust and race cat
3g? vented discs
eibach springs (30 mm lower)
prv fitted by me and set to a very safe 0.9 bar
great car mechanicaly. slightly tatty on the outside now, wheels, car park dings etc
stacks of history and reciepts for everything
4 previous owners (three from the forum)
so whats it worth?
oh forgot to say, no aircon and no leather and its a 20vt

£3-3.5k, unfortunately the lack of leather and ac will affect the price IMO

sorry

Unfortunately because I would say the majority of coupes do have one or both of them. I guess when people buy a sports-car they want and indeed seem to expect the little luxurious extras and even the most bog-basic supermini has aircon these days \:\)

I think when selling a car, you need to decide on the minimum you will/can afford to accept and add a few hundred to allow for haggling...people expect to haggle and are gratified to receive a discount and hence a perceived bargain ;\)

Sounds like a good Coupe excellent history and so on. But as Vickster said the lack of aircon would decrease the value. £2500-£3000 is probably more realistic.

I sold my Green 20vt with no a/c or leather for £3k 16 months ago, T plate, bodywork in VGC, IIRC about 80k. If I had not been keen to sell (new car ariving) I would have held my asking price of £3500.

It may be worth getting the little dings sorted first? I think £2500-3000 is realistic

I would say £3k - Carl 'check your oil' T sells std leather at good prices, this would make the car more attractive..

thanks guys. the way i see it is if people want leather and i know a full set can be bought for x ammount then i can factor that into the price of the car. i think if i start at 3200 then i have room to manouver. hopefully i wont have to come down much. it's well driven but also well loved, and as so many on the forum say, 'what else you gonna get for the money?' hope a buyer sees it that way! after all thats all its worth in the end
