Well I have a bit of footage of the Senny, the very same session of the DC5 Teg following
This is my buddy Dave driving, first time at Combe but as Jonny says he's picks up the pace in the afternoon sessions.
Senny Video (22mb)
Nothing came past except the Reyland Cossies and I can't say that we were holding up the Teg as it doesn't sound like he had the power to get past! You can see how the last couple of laps were a lot smoother as Dave started to learn the demands of Combe. Interestingly enough that DC5 Integra competes in the
Time Attack series and has a very well sorted 240bhp track car!
I had one session and it really does punch above it's weight with awesome grip, shame we weren't allowed to run the slicks!
As for my coop, yes she was fast... almost too fast for the handling to cope! The brakes were fantastic which is good to know having never felt the full force of the increased power on such a fast track. I have reconditioned the calipers with new seals and EBC Yellowstuff racing pads the night before meaning I had to bed them in on the track
I can't fault them at all with no fade or boiling the fluid, just great all the way. This is due in part to better braking technique but I must say compared to the Pagid Greys before they are just as good and touted to last much longer.
It was a busy track but a few good laps were possible. Last year I was pulling 1:27s but this year Jonny had me doing 1:21 which wasn't a full flying lap due to some traffic. I have been told the new for '07 Reyland Cossies were pulling 1:20s so I guess that coupé tuning, aka Torque Italia, must be doing something right
In fact it is a shame I didn't come up against these guys as it would have been a good test as nothing else was even close on the day. Anyway, a few more tweaks to the handling and she'll do sub 1:20s easy
Another great day at Combe
