Right you northern owners, we always start a thread for a meet and fccuk all comes of it. This has to stop NOW. We need to get a get together sorted even if it is a run-out to Hartsde cafe again. This has to come to something this time or we will be the laughing stock to all the southern owners who seem to have meets every other week in the summer. What you say? Any other ideas or venues gladly considered.

We could go join in with one of the Southern meets - they always seem so well organised

I agree Philip, we seem to be pretty cr*p at getting together, especially as there seems to be quite a few new owners in the region.

I posted this a while ago, NE meet, but the response was poor to say the least.

I'm up for any suggestions, even if it means we have to get the white rubber on again.

I'm up for this, but will be away from 3rd July to 15 July. Another location I particlulary like is around the North Yorkshire Moors, especially joining the A169 from the A171 - superb Coupe country

i could potentially come for this depending on date and if i have enough pennies for LPG to get there and back and maybe drag a cohort or two along with me in the coop if that pinin fella or tafy and dave fancy it or maybe cowboy and C2D as well

North Yorkshire moor roads is a possibility. Could end up at Whitby or somewhere else on the coast.

I'm away the first weekend in July, but other than that I think I'm clear till August.

Yes, yes, We had this when we set it up orignially (it started as an Alfa 145 thing). Turned out this was where the most people could get to though.

Plus it's a very convenient blast over Pennine back roads from me.

Might be the best opportunity we have over the next few months for a northern meet, and we can support the fccuk team at the same time.

How about this Meeting at Scotch Corner c 1200 hrs then drive down to the Bolton Arms (nr Leyburn, about 12miles away, check their website) for a bit of lunch about 1300 hrs ish. Don't know the pub but has a good reputation apparently. We may have to book tables so going this Sunday may be a problem so how about the 24th? But hey - don't let me stop you if another Sunday is more convenient

Coolant leak.

It was p*ssing out water so I had a look under the bonnet. At the RHS of the block there is a 3-way union, the smallest of those three hoses, the one that connects underneath, was leaking badly - even when not under pressure.

I couldn't be bothered to f*rt about with it, so I took it to my local specialist garage and asked them to fix it.

Then I decided that, as it was there, I might as well get it serviced.

Then they spotted that it needed two front tyres and one one of the wishbones doing, etc.

In the end getting an 8 inch long tube replaced cost me £430.

Still, the car's running nicely now, but some little b*gger's knicked one of my side Pininfarina badges.

Going to bow out of this one I think for various reasons

I can confirm now that my party will include 2 adults (including me!) and one toddler (who requires a high chair, OK so he doesn't really but it just sort of reigns him in a bit for a while so no worries if they aren't available).

Sorry i didnt make it to the meet today, but i enjoyed myself a little bit too much last night!
Another pretty major thing are my leaking oil cooler pipes! They are leaking quite badly now so gonna limp to the garage tomorrow, for another hefty bill! Brilliant!
