Hi, I hope I have posted in the correct area?
I am looking into buying a Coupe and I am really keen to get to spend some time to find a well-maintained example of the 20v Turbo.
Does anyone have some advice on where to look i.e. specialist garages?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Tom

Welcome Tom!
I assume from your post that you are after a more or less original, unmodded 20vt. There are a few threads like this running at the moment, but the general advice is:
1. The first, best option is to buy from a long standing forum member. The risks are lower and you can usually look up history on the forum as well as getting paperwork. 2. Ebay bargains do exist, but require a good slice of luck. 3. Dealers are often a bad idea. The Specialist Garages on here sometimes have cars, and Solo Italia often have cars - but at a premium price. 4. Dont worry about mileage or age. Buy on condition and history. 5. The buyers guide on here is excellent.
In my experience all the ones I've seen at dealers were hounds. I'm not sure who is in Nottingham, but there are members who are willing to view cars with you if you want.

Thank you very much for your advice and apologies if you are repeating yourselves!
Yes I am definitely after an unmodified one.

Don't be too fixated on un-modded.
I have a very original 20vt, save the interior which has a custom re-trim. I will also be keeping the original black sills, and won't entertain any kind of bodykit, much to most people's horror. Its all just personal taste. I like 'em as they left the factory.
Personally I'd steer clear of major mechanical mods, but my old one had things like grooved discs, fast road pads, stainless exhaust. I'm sorely tempted to have an exhaust again. I'd be OK with a remap, and maybe some sort of mildly upgraded turbo, but no more.

personally I think modifying is safe if done properly and researched thoroughly.

The link that MarioCirillo gave 5 posts earlier in this thread is a good place to start.

We must all do our part for the planet. I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.
