16vt or not?? I have recently sold my 20vt due to fuel and insurance costs, but miss it! Was thinking of a 16 vt as I have found a good deal on insurance, is the fuel economy much better, but would the maintenance costs be much higher????

You'll find fuel economy is actually slightly worse than a 20vt. Belts etc need changing more frequently as the 16vt is far more severe on them. But if you're saving on insurance (little difference in cost for me when I had my 16vt ), then go for it.

Also 16vt is much easier to work on hence cheaper repair costs i think parts are cheaper aswell. Yes, easier to work on, but availability of parts more of an issue than cost (as you know yourself with your hunt for a bottom end!) Still go for a 16vt though

I can't imagine the 16vt would be that much cheaper than a 20vt??
