We will be turning up in a yellow locost 7 either being towed by a fiat ulysse or with 2 very cold people inside!

Any more takers? Weather forecast is looking good for the weekend, so hoping the Monday will be no different.

Have I got the list correct on page one? Have Flea and others now paid? smile

That's a shame Dan. Are you coming for some passenger rides?

Great day, I basked in the sun thoroughly enjoying the worry free experience of being a passenger smile

So, we (Flea, Senny Dave & I) arrived around 9am in the beast

A sign of the times where 7 forum members were there, and not one coop on track.
We had 1 Alfa (Flea, above),
1 MK Indy (Jonny)

1 Caterham (Fishy Dave)

1 Locost (Elder81)

and a Clio Sport (Neal) - sorry didn't take a pic frown

Highlight of the day, has to be Jonny making Flea feel sick after a spin in the Indy.

Thanks to all who gave me a ride (in the best possible sense!)

And a pic to show what happens to the balance of a Caterham when Senny Dave squeezes into the passenger seat. The constant scraping of his exhaust on the floor ended with this biglaugh

Seriously, Dave, hope you found the rest of your exhaust and get it back together as painlessly as possible.

Really good day, very well-run, good fun track, with just the right number of cars, and a nice atmosphere. Really nice to see you all and meet a couple of guys from here for the first time. Clio ran well, didn't break, and the new wheels (thanks Jonny/Ed) looked great, so that's satisfying.

Some stunning cars on the day too - Dyno Rod-coloured Caterham CSR260 was my favourite. Even had a decent journey home - suffering with a bit of sunburn now though smile

Awesome day indeed! A big thanks to Dave for getting this on the go!

I think it is fair to say that I ragged the hell out of the locost and it might finally persuaded dad to get a LSD and a decent set of tyres! (I am trying to wipe dads memory of my 90 mph spin)

Nice to meet everyone and almost take out Neal in the Clio coming into the last hairpin!

Also apologies to Dave for getting VW transporter geeky on him!

Sadly the tow car (Dad's Ulysse) went back into limp mode on the way home and we couldn't get above 50mph all the way home!

laugh Wasn't even close, although I do remember thinking "that was quite a hefty closing speed" as I pulled into the pits.

Hi all, been a busy day at work.

Plenty of FCC UKers along, not one with a Coupe though!

Highlights for me -

- The Caterham ran well (until the end anyway) and was only overtaken by that quick mk1 Escort when I got stuck in traffic.
- Perfect weather, warm but not too hot, still have a glowing face though.
- Good company, will bring more chairs next time. Interesting the selection of cars that ex and current Coupe owners bring along with them. The MK was going well Jonny and the new 172 looked good Neal (well, except the steering wheel tongue ). You didn't bore me with VW talk Elder81, impressive achievement to have built a car from scratch.
- Well run day, good value and despite there being loads of cars in the paddock, it never felt crowded on track.
- Enjoyed giving passenger rides, sorry to those I didn't get chance to take out.
- Matching the pace of the CSR260, the owner of which is someone I coach. To be fair my slicks do help and I didn't have a passenger, but I couldn't have driven much faster.

Downsides -

- Didn't bring enough fuel for the day which limited the number of laps I could do.
- The exhaust breaking off completely when I had Senny Dave onboard (a coincidence I'm sure wink ). It made a hell of a noise when it broke, I thought I was about to be hit by another car!

Thankfully the exhaust breakage happened towards the end of the day so I didn't miss much track time, and looks like it will be possible to weld up. Besides, it gave me another chance to have some passenger laps in that CSR260 you like Neal cool

Really looking forward to the next one now.

Cheers, Dave and Beth

Yes it was a great day, well organised, a good selection of cars and plenty of space on track. I'm glad it clouded over by lunchtime, it was getting pretty hot.

We brought the car down on the trailer (purchased the day before laugh , for a bargain price). So despite a 2hr20min journey each way, it was much more relaxed than normal. Once we got through the noise test rolleyes (cheers Senny Dave) and endured the slightly long briefing laugh we were ready to go.

I always find airfield tracks harder to learn, but towards the end of the morning, we were going quite well. It was a little bit bumpy for our stiffly sprung car, which resulted in a bit of understeer on a few corners, plus braking was fun into some of the chicanes shocked However it was a good layout and one of the better airfield tracks.

As usual, nothing much went past. As I'm sure everyone noted on the day, the TVR engined Escort was shocked , plus an over-enthusiastic Scooby RA actually touched the back of our car trying to brake as late as us into one chicane grr No damage luckily.

On one outing with Leighton in the passenger seat we had the CSR260 some way behind us as well. I, like Fishy was pleased that it wasn't really catching us up laugh

Great day, made even more fun by a few familiar faces cool

Fishy- Pah this Caterham build quality isn't what it's all cracked up to be, we must have given Senny Dave hundreds of passenger laps and nothing's fallen off tongue

My car is a bit smaller though tongue

Besides, the exhaust was an uprated one from Powerspeed, so not Caterhams fault wink . I've had a good run of 60+ trackdays and races with no mechanicals, so can't complain. smile

Oh yeah, forgot about that briefing zzz , I'm sure that's how I got a sunburnt neck.
