Followed this a few years ago and it sounded great with the exhaust.

Mike - try your luck and offer a swap! laugh

Wish I had seen this about 3 months ago.....paid 2G for one......almost 2.5G later and I still have a packet to spend getting it to your standard.
I think it be underpriced if I am honest mate.
The best colour too....just like my first coupe

Yes quite a few are saying underpriced spit and I do realise this BUT being a forum owned car and only being sold for 3k a month ago I doubt I would get any interest just out of principle if I priced it higher and would rather sell/swap quickly than wait as need something better than my old vectra for work asap frown

I don't know whether I'm just missing the point somewhere, but in your for sale ad you mentioned considering a part-ex for a Coupé, and also that if it doesn't sell you may have to break this one and sell the parts to get your cash back.

In the advert you've said the car just sits too low for where you live, and that you don't really want to have all the hassle of getting it re-adjusted, but surely having it re-adjusted is less effort than breaking it completely?!

And if you're considering another Coupé as part-ex, wouldn't you just save yourself a whole load of hassle by simply having the suspension adjusted on this one to make it more suited for the roads where you lived?

That way you get to keep the Coupé you wanted originally, and have it more fit for purpose plus save a load of effort smile

Or as I said, have I just missed the point completely?! tongue

As an ex-lecturer, I wouldn't fancy turning up to school/college in a yellow loud machine either! Especially when I'm just starting a new job at a new school!

I don't know. We thought one of our teachers was cool because he had a Triumph Spitfire (which in 1974 was somewhat more impressive than it sounds now).

Its a combination of many things but more importantly patch is right in what he said which I did mention. Breaking was with a winky face and not ideal. Anyway no time or energy for too much messing around and do need a daily driver for my present job. Have had some genuine interest from a number of people on here so will see what happens. Am also looking into possible options that are time effective to sort the low issue but still going to leave me with a fully kitted LOUD yellow car for work which will just not work. Dont fancy parking round the corner either! Its a striking car but work and my career is FAR more important Im sorry to say...

That is georgeous love (it's my fave colour of course!

If you had the required parts and you can't get your price - Would you consider removing the performance & styling mods you want to sell seperatly, turbo/fmic/Walbro/seats etc, putting it back to 'standard' as such, & selling the car for a lower price instead?

This cannot be broken! cry

Yea I know - It was just a thought if somehow you couldn't get your price, it would be an easier, alot less effort (& less painfull!) soloution to breaking the whole thing.

If I had the money I would buy this tomorrow! - despite it having more mods than I desire smile

Just had a thought...HOW LIKELY is it that people would be willing to buy my modded parts and come and take them off themselves and maybe exchange for standard? Is that a viable option at all???

I think mine will suffer similar fate eventually. If people aren't willing to pay the price these modified cars deserve, then it makes more sense for the seller to put it back to standard.
